Spent his childhood in Burbank, California and moved to Hawaii when he went to college. He began painting in earnest in 2006, and within a year he gained attention from the Hawaiian surf and art scenes. After that, he worked on the main poster for Hawaii's largest music festival "Kokua Festival" hosted by Jack Johnson, and suddenly became a darling of the world's surf art scene.
